Christopher Ray Coleman is a keynote speaker, author, and expert in burnout prevention and peak performance. A former student-athlete turned entrepreneur, he is passionate about helping individuals and teams build resilience, sustain high performance, and create psychologically safe cultures that drive success.
As the author of Triggered 2 Triumph, a playbook for overcoming adversity and sustaining excellence, Chris equips student-athletes, coaches, and leaders with the tools to manage pressure, prevent burnout, and unlock their full potential. A devoted husband and father, his relentless drive and deep-rooted passion for optimal human performance reflects the love for his family and vision for society.
With a diverse background spanning athletics, leadership consulting, and personal development, Christopher’s expertise allows him to bridge the gap between sports, education, and corporate leadership. Whether working with athletic departments, educators, or corporate teams, he delivers powerful insights on mental resilience, high-performance habits, and transformational leadership.
Chris' journey took a profound turn when he started in sales, in 2013, at the age of 22. In 9 months, he went from sales rep to District Manager, passing 6 promotions and becoming a business owner. He then moved 6 hours from his hometown of Mobile, Al to Florence, Al to run the tri-state district of Alabama, Mississippi, and Tennessee. Within 18 months, he recruited 150 reps and built a 6 figure sales organization from scratch. This helped his identity loss from being a former student-athlete, but the lack of alignment forced him to confront burnout and the pressures of high performance. This left him faced with the harsh reality of transitioning beyond the game, battling self-doubt, and redefining his purpose.
After stepping down as a District Manager, he spent the remainder of his 20's consulting, running a networking/event brand, serving on a board for the Black Life Arts & Culture Coalition (an initiative of the Alabama Contemporary Art Center), and inspiring communities with his story. Instead of letting these challenges define him, Chris transformed his adversity into a mission—to help athletes, leaders, and high performers overcome burnout, build resilience, and sustain success beyond their sport or career.
In 2020, the pandemic provided him the space to be still, gain clarity, and build a new foundation as a business owner with his new found mission/purpose in mind. Over the last 5 years, he's committed himself to studying neuroscience, peak performance, and burnout so he can provided science-backed strategies that can be implemented asap. Through his books and speaking, Christopher continues to empower individuals to turn setbacks into comebacks and unlock their full potential.
Talking to his old HS basketball team brought things full circle for Chris, helped him heal from his loss identity as a former student-athlete, and planted a seed for what he's doing now.
